Description
Wine Bar & Restaurant Sova is a restaurant Bled guests return to — it occupies the thoroughly renovated premises of the former Okarina restaurant on Ljubljanska cesta, a minute from the lake promenade. The kitchen is led by chef Knego: a varied offer for lovers of fish, meat and vegetarian cooking, spiced with a touch of the Orient that stayed in the house’s DNA.
Among the dishes guests praise most often are the tuna carpaccio, seafood risotto, truffle pasta and steaks; the sweet finale belongs to the chocolate desserts. The other half of the name is no ornament: a wine bar with a wide selection of premium wines — Slovenian cellars to the fore — and staff who can match a glass to any choice.
The interior is warm and carefully styled — in winter, the heated wooden veranda with its oriental lanterns is one of the cosiest corners of Bled. Prices run higher, but the reviews are near-unanimous: worth it.
