Challenging Jalovec
Slovenia's most beautiful mountain and the symbol of its alpinism (2,645 m) — a very demanding tour from…

Six kilometres of Slovenia's loveliest promenade — the lake loop with views of the island, castle and Julian Alps, suitable for everyone.
The loop around Lake Bled is the most beautiful six kilometres of walking in Slovenia — and an essential part of any visit. The level, well-kept promenade hugs the waterline the whole way: past the rowing centre at Mala Zaka, beneath Ojstrica, through the quiet village of Mlino with its island views, and back below the castle rock.
Allow an hour and a half to two hours for a relaxed loop with photo stops. The finest time is early morning, when mist lies on the surface and the castle reflects in still water — you’ll share the path only with runners and photographers. An evening loop beneath the illuminated castle is a romantic classic.
The path is stroller-friendly and fine for small children. Along the way, treat yourself to a beach stop (in summer), a rowing boat to the island or a cream cake with a view — and find everything about the lake itself in our Lake Bled guide.
