The car parks by the kindergarten and primary school (P14 — 95 spaces, P15 and P16 — a good 100 more) are Bled’s budget pick: €2.50/hour with no time limit and almost never completely full, even in mid-August. The lake is a 12-minute walk.

An important warning: the legendary “free Straža parking” is no more — wardens consistently fine wild parking on meadows and gravel from €80 upwards. The municipality occasionally offers free spaces with a shuttle during summer promotions — watch parking.bled.si.
