Easy Ojstrica
The shortest climb to the most photographed view of Lake Bled — 45 minutes to the postcard.

The classic loop to the highest lake viewpoint — a stair climb up, a descent past Ojstrica.
Mala Osojnica (685 m) offers the highest and most dramatic view of Lake Bled. The climb from Velika Zaka is moderate at first, then conquers the steep upper section via metal stairs that are a small adventure in themselves. From the viewing platform, the lake spreads out below — island, castle, Bled and the Karavanke with Stol behind.
We recommend the circular route: continue along the ridge to Velika Osojnica (756 m), then descend through the forest to Ojstrica and back to the start. The full loop measures a good five kilometres and takes about two hours at an easy pace with photo stops.
The best times are early morning and late afternoon, when the light is soft and crowds are thin. In autumn, when the forests turn red and gold, this is one of Slovenia’s most beautiful short hikes.
