Trail description
Lake Jasna at the entrance to the Krnica valley near Kranjska Gora is one of the most photogenic spots in the Slovenian Alps: a twin artificial lake of crystal water beneath Prisojnik and Razor, guarded on its shore by the bronze statue of Zlatorog — the legendary golden-horned chamois.
A well-kept path with wooden piers and benches circles the lake (20–30 minutes of easy walking), and in summer Jasna doubles as a popular swimming spot with a managed beach and a bar. The water is mountain-fresh but just right on hot days.
Jasna combines perfectly with the Peričnik Waterfall or the Martuljek waterfalls — all three lie along the same road towards Kranjska Gora. For the finest photos come in the morning, when the peaks are lit and the surface is still.
