Challenging Seven Triglav Lakes Valley
Slovenia's most famous high-mountain valley — a chain of emerald glacial lakes in the very heart of Triglav…

The only Slovenian waterfall you can walk behind — a 52-metre stream in the Vrata valley below Triglav.
Peričnik in the Vrata valley ranks among Slovenia’s most beautiful waterfalls — and it’s the only one you can walk behind. The lower fall drops 52 metres over an overhanging cliff, so the path passes in a dry arc behind the water curtain: the view through the stream onto the Vrata valley is unforgettable.
The trailhead is at the Peričnik Hut on the Mojstrana–Aljažev dom road (a good half-hour drive from Bled). The climb to the fall takes 10–15 minutes on a steep but short path; ten minutes higher is the smaller Upper Peričnik.
Visiting is free. In winter the waterfall freezes into fairy-tale icicles — caution is essential then, but the scene is among the finest in the Julian Alps.
