Half an hour’s drive from Bled, at 1,340 m on the Rudno polje plateau at Pokljuka, the IBU Biathlon World Cup caravan stops every winter — one of the four biggest winter-sports events in Slovenia. Sprints, pursuits and relays in the Pokljuka forests draw the world’s best biathletes and fans from across Europe; in the 2026/27 season the races run from 31 December to 3 January.

As the venue lies inside Triglav National Park, attendance is capped at 3,000 visitors per day and an organised shuttle carries spectators to the arena — private cars have no access. Bled is the most convenient base: a race in the morning, the Winter Fairy Tale by the lake in the afternoon. Check tickets and the exact programme on the official site.
