Bled Summer (Blejsko poletje) is the umbrella name for the lakeside summer season: from June to August the Lake Promenade hosts free concerts, food stalls and evening programmes that turn a lakeside stroll into an event. The musical line-up is varied — from jazz and pop bands to Slovenian folk ensembles.

The summer highlight is Bled Days on the second-to-last July weekend, when the lake glows with thousands of floating lights. If you’re in Bled in summer, check the programme for the current week — chances are a free evening concert with a castle-and-island backdrop is waiting on the promenade.
