Description

Zatrnik is Bled’s skiing nostalgia: once one of the region’s most popular resorts, it has reawakened after years of slumber in a humbler but charming form. It lies on the road towards Pokljuka, just 15 minutes’ drive from Lake Bled, at around 900–1,200 metres.

Slopes and difficulty: wide, gentle, mostly blue runs wind across clearings in the Pokljuka forest — terrain made for first turns, children and relaxed cruising with no need to look over your shoulder. The absence of crowds is the greatest asset: while the big resorts jam on weekends, at Zatrnik you often have the slope almost to yourself.

For families: this is the closest and most affordable skiing for families with small children staying in Bled — no long drives, no parking stress.
