About the experience

Description

Over Vršič Pass: Kranjska Gora & 24 Hairpins

This is the trip that squeezes the best of the Julian Alps into a single day — a circular route from Bled around the mountains that would take three days to piece together by public transport. From Bled you head to Kranjska Gora, greet the alpine valley beneath Špik, and then the road starts to climb: the 24 serpentines of the Vršič pass (1,611 m), Slovenia’s highest mountain road, with stops at viewpoints such as the Russian Chapel.

The Emerald Soča, Bovec & Lake Bohinj

Beyond the pass you descend into the Trenta valley, where the emerald Soča awaits — a river many call the most beautiful in the Alps. A stop near Bovec follows, with views of the gorge and rock troughs, before the return along the valley to Lake Bohinj, where the day winds down beside Slovenia’s largest lake in the embrace of Triglav National Park.

What’s Included & How Booking Works

The price includes comfortable transport starting in Bled and guiding; the exact itinerary with stops, departure time and meeting point comes with your booking confirmation (the route adapts seasonally — in winter, when Vršič is closed, an adjusted route is used). The trip is relaxed and suits all ages — you only walk as much as you fancy at the stops.
