The Bled Winter Fairy Tale (Zimska pravljica) is Bled’s festive transformation, running from late November to early January. Festive huts with food and mulled wine line the Lake Promenade, weekends bring a varied live-music programme, and the lower plaza of the Bled Shopping Centre hosts a free ice rink — skates can be rented on the spot.

Through Advent, giant candles are lit one by one, glowing in full below St Martin’s Church on Christmas Eve, while couples will find the Bled Love Story corner on the Promenade. December closes with a New Year’s Eve celebration by the lake. Winter Bled is far quieter than summer — and with festive lights, a snow-dusted castle and mist over the lake, arguably even more beautiful.
