Bled Days & Bled Night

Bled Days is Bled’s most traditional summer event, drawing crowds every year on the second-to-last July weekend. During the day, stalls along the promenade show how local arts and crafts are made, accompanied by promenade concerts.

The highlight is Saturday’s Bled Night: at dusk the lake surface fills with some 10,000 lights floating in eggshells, traditionally made by local resident Andrej Vidic — a scene that draws half of Slovenia to Bled that weekend. The evening closes with a festive programme, usually including fireworks over the lake. Come early: parking fills up fast that day, so we recommend arriving in the afternoon.
