About the experience

Description

The Queen of Slovenian Canyoning

The Fratarica gorge above Log pod Mangartom is considered the queen of Slovenian canyoning: the stream has carved a trench dozens of metres deep and in places only a few metres wide into the limestone, and you conquer it by jumping into crystal-clear pools, sliding down natural toboggans and abseiling on ropes. The highlights are two mighty waterfalls — Katedrala (20 m) and Parabola (48 m); ropes are mandatory on three waterfalls, elsewhere you choose between jumps and walk-arounds.

Duration, Difficulty & Gear

The experience lasts about 4 hours, roughly 3 of them inside the canyon; the difficulty is intermediate, with swimming ability and basic hiking fitness required. The price includes full equipment (wetsuit, helmet, harness), licensed guides and a briefing; you only need swimwear, a towel and sports shoes that can get wet.
